Richard Cross performs as a trombonist and
composes and arranges music for musicians across the world.
His
arrangements on the Turned On label have been performed and
broadcast
live on BBC Radio 3 and BBC
Commonwealth Radio and performed at The International Trombone
Festival as well as at embassies, universities and music colleges and
other venues in Europe, America, Australia and Asia, and have been recorded on CD
by the award winning British all girl trombone quartet
Bones Apart.
He has also composed for film and theatre companies in England.

Richard graduated from The Royal Academy Of Music in 1999, where he studied trombone with Ian Bousfield and Dudley
Bright, together with composition, arranging and
conducting. As a trombonist he
has performed with musicians including Yehudi Menuhin, Vladimir
Ashkenazy and James Galway
and has worked with orchestras including The BBC National Orchestra of
Wales, Northern Sinfonia (UK), Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London
Session Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, The National Youth Jazz
Orchestra (UK) and onboard the QE2. He has recorded for the pop
industry at EMI Abbey Road Studios and has played for Empress Michiko
of Japan and The Archbishop Of Canterbury. Richard's work also
encompasses shows, sessions, ceremonies, contemporary dance, opera,
ballet and jazz ensembles and has included film work on set as a
musician
(Mrs. Henderson Presents), starring
Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins and Will Young
(2005.)
